10.11.17 Rasoi Pontlliw

Nice setting. Nice big oval table.
 Gloopy mint. Strange mango chutney.
 Elton had lovely satay chicken starter. 
Peshwari naans nice. Chicken tikka far too hot! 
No mints
Elton and I thought 6 the others a 7



20.10.17 Shalims Weymouth

In Weymouth for the weekend. Sauces included tamarind. Mint nice.
Crisp but not warm poppadoms.
The cobra story on the beer glass.
Staff in Indian dress. Efficient service. Some tables with white tablecloths.
Samosas beautifully presented on slate and  crispy. 
Alan wants slate plates, where would you put the gravy?
Vindaloo, chicken tikka on a sizzler. Proper towels.
Hot chocolate  drink not very hot and it was weak. 8/10

23.9.17 Red peppers Newbury



Haven't been here for a while. It used to be a favorite years ago but went downhill.
Service just as friendly as it used to be.
Very busy as it is a race night.
Onion baji starter, a little soggy in the middle.
Naga chicken seems to becoming a favourite of Alan's.
The chicken tikka didn't come on a sizzler and could  have been hotter.
The portions were a little small but nice enough.
Had a coke instead of diet coke again this week but got it changed

White tablecloth, red linen napkins. 
Very slow service, 
nice poppadums.
Crab maliber.
chicken naga 
Tikka very spicy.
Good sized portions.
Service awful. After very long wait ,  served coke instead of diet coke.

26.8.17 Table 27 Leeds

Red black and white theme.Nice warm poppadoms. Nicest mint for a while. Authentic music.
Coke a little warm.
Sheek kebab but not on a sizzler. Robert had a mixed kebab starter.

Towels weren't hot and not opened.
Nice Twilight chocolates
Alan and Robert said theirs was Average and gave it 7. I thought mine was very nice and gave it 8.

12.9.17 Sunderban Ammanford

Out with Elton.
Pop music when we arrived but change to authentic later
No tablecloth but a nice friendly atmosphere.
Poppadums OK, Dips included coconut
Elton had a chicken tikka starter and a Lahore Balti speciality, he felt the Balti wa snot authentic. I had chicken tikka main with extra garlic. It was served on sizzler. I'll avoid the extra garlic in the future but it was quite nice.

19.8.17 Himalayan hot spot Tilehurst

Napalese music playing. 48 covers. Childs birthday party going on.
Popadums average. Yogurt mint a little strange.Coke warm and flat but beer OK
Alan had meat Samosas for starter. Nice and meaty, above average.
Chicken tikka quite spicy, served on sizzler with salad. Alan's Himalayan jalfresi  was average.
The strange mint yogurt spoilt it a little.
Haphazard service.
After mints and a complementary drink
7/10 just!

6.8.17 Dwbis Crosshands

Out with Elton. Restaurant busy.
Poppadums a little soft. Coconut amongst pickles.
Tikka on sizzler but no salad.

22.7.17 Ameanah's Ammanford

Back to Stamford with Elton following a lovely afternoon out with mum and Yvonne. Starter jafrani pander tikka for Alan and lucknowi lamb chop for





Elton.coconut included in the chutneys which we haven't had for a while.
Murgh tikka for me, garlic chilli chicken for Alan, chicken madras for Elton.
Twangy music, poppadums could have crispier.
Nice stylich decor, especially fro Ammanford though crushed velvet seats little hard on the eyes.

15.7.17 Spice Valley Abingdon


Took Robert and Towsky to visit this restaurant. John and Chrissie also came along.
Alan didn't feel it was as good as last time.



8.7.17 Cromwell Basingstoke

Hidden well in the trees. We must have been hidden as well as staff didn't notice our arrival! 
Staff  wore red uniforms. White linen cloth and napkins.Nice setting though we were segregated from the rest of the clientele!
Bollywood style music.
Crispy populations nice yogurt
Alan had Samosas for starters which were quite spicy. The spiciest he has ever had.
Alan's Rosetta fish was hot.
More pepper  and slow burning than last week

1.7.17 Rajmoni Lower Earley

Took a bit of time to find this restaurant in a residential area. 
It was busy with a wedding party going on.
Alan had sheesh kebab for starter which was quite tasty. Some of the wedding party then treated us to a song as they serenaded the groom. 
Alan had Naga murgh Masala and I had the usual. Considering the restaurant was so busy, the service was very quick and friendly, even the missing knife and fork.
Mine was a little bland. 7 1/2
Proper towels and fresh orange....which we haven't had for a long time, then complimentary drinks as we had sat next to a young family brings it up to 8

17.6.17 Tiffins

Traditional music. Couple of water features. Sheek kebab starter. Usual main for me,  little bland. Chicken laknavi for Alan spicy bunha with a hint of garlic.
Packet towels opened.
Mint chocolate and complimentary drinks. 7 for food +1/


2 due to extra touches.
